The University of Southern Mississippi Bachelor of Arts
Mrs. Emily Hasselle
I am Mrs. Hasselle and I teach biology, medical terminology and Spanish.
School/Work: I graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with Highest Honors in May 2014. Though I spent my college years in Mississippi, I missed Texas. Shortly after graduating from USM, my husband and I moved west, to Texas, that is. Prior to ET Charter, I taught at Marshall High School. I love teaching High School and I look forward to the start of this school year.
Family: I have been married for 4 and 1/2 years to my best friend, Jason. We have one son, Beau and he is 4 years old. My husband and I have been foster parents for a year and a half so our family dynamics change quite a bit however there are always at least 3 of us. We also have two dogs who are very much a part of our family. Willow is a Border Collie and Pippa is our beagle mix.
Personal Favorites: Sweet tea is my absolute favorite and it is very rare that I go one day without it. I also love to be outside and spend time with my family.
How is my class different than a class at a traditional school?
1. We work together- if something isn't working out, we figure it out together
2. Students have choices on their learning path
3. Learning is fun in my classroom and outside of my classroom (because sometimes we go outside!)
