I am beginning my 20th year educating students, but my first year here at ETCHS! God has seen fit to guide me through life to have a varied career, first in the Navy as a Cryptology Tech then as a sales manager and CAD designer for kitchens and bathrooms. Since 2004, I have been a part of education as either a substitute teacher, a Texas History teacher, an English teacher, or a homeschool educator. I am passionate about helping kids find their niche in the world and finding their strengths. We are all unique, and I strongly believe that everyone has strengths and the potential to do great things. 

 

In October, my husband and I will have been married 29 years. We have one beautiful daughter who's 24 years old and an internationally recognized and published photographer for landscapes and fine art. She also works here at a local grocery store--the adage about starving artists is true!

 

As you might expect, my hobbies include reading books of all kinds, but I also garden and make many varieties of canned jellies! I am also passionate about travel--I love exploring new places and cultures. Finally, I have to mention our animals. We love our dogs, cats, and living in the country with its quiet tranquility and all of its unique possibilities--you never know what critter will show up!
